USF Men’s Golf: South Florida Men’s Golf Welcomes Standout Recruit Roman Solomon for 2025-26 Season

TAMPA, Fla (November 15, 2024) – The University of South Florida men’s golf team is excited to announce the addition of Roman Solomon to an already talented roster for the 2025-26 season. Solomon joins the Bulls from Sarasota, FL where he has built an impressive resume during his junior career.

Solomon has been a consistent presence on the Underrated Tour, founded by NBA superstar Steph Curry, winning the 2022 Curry Cup and placing top-5 nine times. He also owns the titles of 2021 Mack Champion Invitational Champion and 2023 PGA Tour Pathway to Progression Champion. Additionally, Solomon placed top-20 at the 2023 Junior Orange Bowl and has been ranked as high as 5th in the state of Florida.

Solomon’s family has no shortage of standout athletes, with his brother, John, playing Division 1 basketball at Montana and his dad, Bobby Bonilla, a six-time All-Star in the MLB. With his winning pedigree and his family’s athletic influence, Solomon is poised to make a name for himself at the University of South Florida. The Bulls are eager to welcome him to the team for the 2025-26 season.

The USF men’s golf program has captured 19 conference titles and has seen players earn 19 All-America honors. The Bulls have won six American Athletic Conference Tournament championships in wire-to-wire fashion, winning four consecutive from 2015-18. The Bulls have had four individual conference champions, including Albin Bergstrom in 2021, and gone on to earn nine straight NCAA Regional appearances, including a 6th pace finish in NCAA Championship match-play in 2015. USF is led by Steve Bradley, who has been named American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year five times since taking over the program in 2014. The Bulls have posted 24 tournament wins under Bradley including three in the 2023-24 season, by far the most under any coach in program history.
