TAMPA, FLA., March 22, 2024 – The University of South Florida men’s golf team returns to the course in the Valspar Collegiate Invitational at Florida National Golf Club in Palm City, Fla. on March 25-26.
The No. 42-ranked Bulls, who have finished in the Top 4 in five of the eight tournaments this season, including two wins in the Fall and a second and third-place finish in the first two tournaments of the Spring, are led by head coach Steve Bradley, the five-time AAC Coach of the Year is in his 10th season.
Along with the No. 42nd-ranked Bulls, the stout 16-team field includes 14 other teams ranked in the top 65 in the country, including top-ranked North Carolina and five teams in the top ten. The field includes Alabama (6), Arizona State (4), Arkansas (13), Duke (25), Florida State (11), host Houston (61), Lamar, North Carolina (1), Ohio State (26), Oklahoma (14), Texas (18), Texas A&M (23), Texas Tech (9), Vanderbilt (3), and Wake Forest (35).
In the 54-hole event, the field will begin play with 36 holes on Monday, March 25, with a shotgun start at 8:00 AM (ET). The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday, March 26 with a shotgun start at 8:00 AM (ET).
Leading the charge for the Bulls in 2023-24 is graduate student Brock Healy (Norcross, Ga.), who captured his first win as Bull in the Fall. Joining him are redshirt junior Cooper Smith (Tampa, Fla.) who has three Top 25 finishes on the season, Jake Peacock, a member 2022-23 AAC Men’s Golf All-Conference team, who has a win and four Top 10 finishes this season, senior Sam Nicholson (Atlantic Beach, Fla.), who notched a win and his fifth Top 10 finish as a Bull in the Fall, and Shubham Jaglan (Jr., Delhi, India), who has two Top 10 finishes on the season.
Head Coach Steve Bradley announced the following competitors for the Bulls in California:

About USF Men’s Golf
The USF men’s golf program has captured 17 conference titles and has seen players earn 19 All-America honors. The Bulls have won five American Athletic Conference Tournament championships in wire-to-wire fashion, winning four-consecutive from 2015-18. The Bulls have had four individual conference champions, including Albin Bergstrom in 2021, and gone on to earn nine straight NCAA Regional appearances, including a 6th place finish in NCAA Championship match-play in 2015. USF is led by Steve Bradley, who has been named American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year five times since taking over the program in 2014. The Bulls have posted 22 tournament wins under Bradley entering the 2023-24 season, by far the most under any coach in program history.
