Tampa, FLA. April 23, 2023 – The Bulls ended their season with a sixth-place finish in the AAC Championship at the Pelican Club in Belleair, Fla.
USF got off to a hot start with a -2 278 in the first round, but the Bulls were unable to maintain the momentum in the last two rounds as their quest for a sixth AAC Championship fell short.
The Bulls were led by the steady play of junior Sam Nicholson, he shot rounds of 72, 70 and 71 to finish tied for 13th. Nicholson finished the tournament tied for second in scoring on the par 3’s at -1.
Sophomore Shubham Jaglan closed with his best round, a -3 67 in the final round. He moved 18 spots up the leaderboard to finish tied for 17th. Jaglan, who recorded two eagles, finished tied for the tournament lead in scoring on the par 5’s at -4.
Freshman Nino Palmquist opened with a 67 in the first round and followed up with a 69 in the second round and closed with a 79. Palmquist was also tied for second in par 3 scoring at -1, was tied for second with 38 pars.
Jake Peacock shot a one-under 69 in the opening round and finished with 73 and 74 in the second and third rounds. Peacock led the Bulls with 12 birdies in the tournament.
Sophomore Chase Gullikson accounted for two scoring rounds. He shot 74 in all three rounds. Gullickson tied for the tournament lead with 38 pars.

About USF Men’s Golf
The USF men’s golf program has captured 17 conference titles and has seen players earn 19 All-America honors. The Bulls have won five American Athletic Conference Tournament championships in wire-to-wire fashion, winning four-consecutive from 2015-18. The Bulls have had four individual conference champions, including Albin Bergstrom in 2021, and gone on to earn nine straight NCAA Regional appearances, including a 6th place finish in NCAA Championship match-play in 2015. USF is led by Steve Bradley, who has been named American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year five times since taking over the program in 2014. The Bulls have posted 20 tournament wins under Bradley entering the 2022-23 season, by far the most under any coach in program history.
