Tobin Anderson, Alex Harris, Max Wittenberg, and Kainan Justiniano join the Bulls’ support staff.
TAMPA, Fla. (April 29, 2025) – University of South Florida head men’s basketball coach Bryan Hodgson has announced the additions of Tobin Anderson, Alex Harris, Max Wittenberg, and Kainan Justiniano to the Bulls’ support staff for the 2025-26 season.
Tobin Anderson joins USF after a remarkably successful coaching career at all levels of the college game. He amassed a 209–62 (.771) record over nine seasons at St. Thomas Aquinas, winning three consecutive East Coast Conference titles and earning multiple NCAA Division II regional appearances. In 2022-23, his lone season at Fairleigh Dickinson, he led the Knights to a 21–16 mark, captured the Northeast Conference Tournament crown, and orchestrated one of the biggest upsets in NCAA Tournament history by knocking off No. 1 seed Purdue 63–58 in the Round of 64. Anderson then spent two seasons as head coach at Iona, guiding the Gaels to back-to-back postseason appearances and a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference championship-game berth in 2025.
Alex Harris arrives at USF as the director of player development after two seasons on Coach Hodgson’s Arkansas State staff, where he played a pivotal role in helping the Red Wolves achieve a program-record 25 wins and an NIT berth in 2024-25. Harris previously served as associate head coach at Word of God Christian Academy in North Carolina and held assistant roles at E.E. Smith High School and with Team Loaded NC 17U on the Adidas 3SSB circuit.
Max Wittenberg joins the Bulls as video coordinator after a season as a graduate assistant under Nate Oats at Alabama. There, he contributed to scouting reports, analytics, and film breakdowns during Alabama’s historic run to its first-ever Final Four and Elite Eight. Prior to Alabama, Wittenberg spent four years as a student manager at Michigan under Juwan Howard, helping the Wolverines capture a Big Ten title and make multiple NCAA Tournament appearances.
Kainan Justiniano will serve as assistant director of operations after spending the 2024-25 season as director of operations at Arkansas State. He joined the Red Wolves from LSU, where he worked as a graduate assistant, and from Combine Academy in North Carolina, where he served as the director of basketball operations and assistant coach. Justiniano also has extensive experience working with grassroots events through The Hoop Group.

Kainan’s operational excellence and attention to detail will keep our daily program running smoothly. This team of specialists will be the backbone of our support structure as we push toward conference contention and beyond.”
Cody Dukquits will return to lead USF’s strength and conditioning program, continuing to enhance the Bulls’ physical development and performance. He’s been with USF men’s basketball since 2023.

South Florida men’s basketball named Bryan Hodgson, 37, as the program’s 12th head coach on March 24, 2025. Hodgson came to Tampa from Arkansas State, where he led the program to back-to-back 20-win seasons and its first postseason appearance since 1999 in his two seasons at the helm.
The program, entering its 55th season in 2025-26, most recently won the American Athletic Conference regular season championship in 2023-24 and has made 13 postseason appearances, including three NCAA Tournaments, nine NITs, and a CBI championship in 2019. Three former Bulls – Chucky Atkins, Charlie Bradley and Rodenko Dobras – have had their jerseys retired and are members of the USF Athletic Hall of Fame. The Bulls play their home games at the 10,400-seat Yuengling Center on the USF Tampa campus.
