USF FOOTBALL: Several Kick Times Set for 2025 Season

Kick times set for eight games on the 2025 season, including clashes at Florida and Miami

TAMPA, FLA., MAY 29, 2025 – Kickoff times and television designations for several games in the 2025 South Florida Football Season presented by Tampa General Hospital were announced Thursday by American Athletic Conference.

It was previously announced that the Bulls would open their third season under head coach Alex Golesh on Thursday, Aug. 28 vs. Boise State in a 5:30 p.m. kickoff at Raymond James Stadium. That game will be televised nationwide on ESPN.

On Thursday, USF learned kickoff times for two marquee non-conference road clashes. The Bulls game at Florida on Saturday, Sept. 6 has been set for a 4:15 p.m. kick on SEC NetworkUSF’s game at Miami on Saturday, Sept. 13 has been set for a 4:30 p.m. kick on The CW.

The Bulls’ final non-conference game on Saturday, Sept. 20 vs. South Carolina is set for a noon kick on ESPN+. That game is being played the same day as the Tampa Bay Rays take on the Boston Red Sox in a 7:05 p.m. first pitch at Steinbrenner Field, which shares parking lots with Raymond James Stadium.

USF will face possibly the toughest non-conference schedule in program history with three games slated against teams in The Athletics’ “Way to Early Top 25”, including No. 11 Florida, No. 15 Miami and No. 21 Boise State. The Bulls have never faced three Associated Press Poll-ranked teams in the non-conference slate.

Including the Thursday season-opener vs. Boise State, USF is slated to play four weeknight, showcase games on the year, including three in Raymond James Stadium.

USF will open play in The American taking on Charlotte on Friday, Oct. 3 in Raymond James Stadium. That game has been set for a 7 p.m. kick on ESPN2.

USF’s first conference road game occurs the following week at North Texas on Friday, Oct. 10. That game will also be televised on ESPN2 and will kick at 7:30 p.m.

The Bulls will get their second open week of the season before returning to Tampa to face UTSA on Thursday, Nov. 6. That game will be broadcast on either ESPN or ESPN2 and kick at 7:30 or 8 p.m.

South Florida’s trip to Annapolis, Md. to face Navy on Saturday, Nov. 15 has been set for a noon kick and will be televised by an ESPN network to be determined.

Final kickoff times and television selections for the UTSA and Navy games as well as most of the remaining games on the Bulls’ 2025 season will be announced on a weekly basis through the season as part of the conference’s 12-day selection process.

USF announced the date for the annual Kickoff Luncheon, which will be held on Aug. 20 at Armature Works in downtown Tampa. The annual event will feature head coach Alex Golesh and the entire USF team and coaching staff. Public ticket information will be distributed in the coming weeks.

The USF football program first took the field in 1997 and completed its 28th season in 2024 with its second-straight bowl victory in the Hawai’i Bowl. Head coach Alex Golesh posted a program-best six-game turnaround and a Boca Raton Bowl victory in his first season in 2023. USF completed construction on a new $22 million Indoor Performance Facility in 2023 and a $340-million on-campus stadium and football operations center broke ground in the fall of 2024 and is slated for completion by 2027. The Bulls have posted 17 winning seasons, earned 16 All-America selections (including two consensus selections, the last coming in 2021), as well as 33 first-team all-conference honorees. USF has had 30 players selected in the NFL Draft and the Bulls have made 12 bowl game appearances (going 8-4), posting a program-record six straight appearances from 2005-2010 and making four straight bowl appearances from 2015-18. USF posted back-to-back 10-win seasons in 2016 and 2017, logging a program-record 11-2 mark in 2016, while finishing both seasons ranked in the Top 25. USF spent a program-record 20 straight weeks ranked in the Top 25 during the 2016 and 2017 campaigns and reached as high as No. 2 in the Associated Press rankings during the 2007 season.
