USF Baseball: Boser, Rozenblum named First Team All-Conference

Bobby Boser tabbed First Team for the second straight year and Ben Rozenblum earns first career nod.

IRVING, Texas (May 20, 2024) – The University of South Florida’s Bobby Boser (Wesley Chapel) and Ben Rozenblum (Coral Springs) have been named to the American Athletic Conference (AAC) All-Conference Baseball Team, the league announced on Monday. Both players were named to the First Team.

Boser earns First Team honors for the second straight season while Rozenblum is named First Team for the first time in his career.

Boser led South Florida with 12 home runs in 2024 despite missing 22 games due to a broken hamate bone. He had seven home runs over the first 13 games of the season and hit five over the final 11 games. Boser was named the NCBWA National Hitter of the Week on March 12 two days after suffering the injury. The week prior he batted .476, slugged 1.381 and posted a .500 OBP. Boser recorded two doubles, one triple, five home runs, 16 RBI and 11 runs over five games that week. He also recorded the first cycle by a Bull since 2004.

Boser finished his junior campaign with a .299 batting average, 18 extra-base hits, 28 runs scored, 32 RBI and six stolen bases. He ranks eighth all-time in program history with 31 home runs in 402 at-bats over 127 career games.

Rozenblum had a career season at the plate in his final year of eligibility. He batted .295 and posted career highs in hits (56), doubles (9), triples (2), home runs (8), RBI (32) and runs (41). He was tied for second on the team in home runs, ranked second in runs scored and tied for third in RBI. Rozenblum’s 19 stolen bases were also a new career high which ranked third in the conference and were the most by a Bull since 2017.

The USF Baseball program played its first season in 1966 and is entering its 59th season in 2024 under head coach Billy Mohl (seventh season). The Bulls have made 14 NCAA Tournament appearances, including four since 2015, and earned their first-ever Super Regional berth in 2021. Former 2018 first-round selection, Shane McClanahan, became the program’s first-ever MLB All-Star in 2022 and was the starting pitcher for the American League.
