UF XC: Women’s Cross Country Ranked No. 12 in USTFCCCA National Coaches Poll

The Gator Women maintained their No. 2 ranking in the USTFCCCA South Region Rankings.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Women’s Cross Country Team was named the No.12 team in the nation in the week one coaches poll, the USTFCCCA announced Tuesday.

The women moved down one spot from the preseason polls despite a standout season opener at the Florida Intercollegiate Invite, where they placed first overall and took home a top-three sweep in Desma Chepkoech (1), Reagan Gilmore (2), and Caroline Wells (3). USTFCCCA had the women ranked second in the South Region and 11th in the nation prior to the season starting.

While the men are currently unranked nationally, the USTFCCCA has placed them at No. 8 in the South Region.

The Gators’ next race will take them to Columbia, Mo., as they take on the field in the Gans Creek Classic.
