Filler won her third tournament of the season at the Moon Golf Invitational.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Florida women’s golfer Maisie Filler was awarded SEC Golfer of the Week the league announced. This is her third time winning the honor this season and her first of the spring.
She was also named the No. 1 play in the official NCAA Rankings on Wednesday.
Filler’s recognition comes after winning the Moon Golf Invitational by three strokes and shooting a 54-hole score of 207 (-10). The senior made 35 pars and tied for the tournament-lead with 14 birdies. Filler averaged 2.83 on par-3’s, 3.90 on par-4’s and 4.67 on par-5’s.
Her best round came in the opening round when she shot a 66 (-6) that included a bogey free front nine. She would birdie seven holes that round to start the tournament six under.
