UF WGOLF | Gators lead through opening round at Lake Oconee

Four Gators are in the top-12 as UF owns a two shot into round two tomorrow.

GREENSBORO, Ga. – The Florida women’s golf team leads through the opening round of the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational on Friday.

UF had a team score of 299 (+11) with four in top-12 and enter the second round tomorrow owning a two-shot advantage over second-place and host Mercer (+13).

Inès Archer led the lineup in round one. She is tied for 5th and two shots from the individual lead. The sophomore shot a 1-over 71 and was one of six golfers to shoot +1 or better at the National Course.

Carding a bogey-free 1-under front nine was Paula Francisco. She logged a round one of 2-over 74. The sophomore is tied for 7th.

Making her spring debut, freshman Jessica Guiser is tied for 12th at 3-over along with Elaine Widjaja, who is competing as an individual this weekend. Widjaja bounced back from a 5-over mark in the first eight holes with a bogey-free 2-under in the final 10 holes.

Addison Klonowski is tied for 27th as she posted a 76 (+5) today while Siuue Wu rounds out the lineup in T42 at +7.
