Annabell Fuller is 9-under and bogey-free through 36 holes in T2.
MELBOURNE, Fla. – Annabell Fuller continued her strong start in the spring with a 3-under round on day two of the Moon Golf Invitational on Monday.
After tying her career-low round (66) yesterday, she posted her second straight round in the 60s (69) today to sit T2 and a stroke back from the leader. Fuller has played bogey-free through 36 holes and will play for her second collegiate victory tomorrow. She is currently 9-under.
Florida shot under par in back-to-back rounds with a score of 283 (-5). The Gators (-12) are only three strokes behind UCF and Northwestern in third and five shots out of second-place Auburn. LSU leads the field at 26-under. The lineup shot a combined 8-under on the back after +3 on the front with multiple birdies on 10, 16 and 18.
Late-round efforts from Marina Escobar and Maisie Filler put each under par for round two. Filler started it off with back-to-birdies on 16 (par-3) and 17 (par-4) to finish with a 70 (-1). After a bogey on nine, Escobar responded with a birdie at 10 and highlighted her day with an eagle on 18 to finish 2-under.
The first Gator in the clubhouse was Taylor Roberts, who had one of Florida’s four under par rounds. The redshirt sophomore fired a bogey-free 70 (-2) that began with nine straight pars on the back nine.
Jackie Lucena and Karoline Tuttle erased a bumpy start with a birdie on 18 to post a 73 (+1).
