The Gators women’s golf team will finish out their fall schedule in Atlanta at the East Lake Cup, televised by the Golf Channel.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida women’s golf team heads to Atlanta, Ga. to compete in the sixth annual East Lake Cup, televised by the Golf Channel. This prestigious tournament, which typically includes the semifinal teams from the NCAA Championship, features the top-four women’s golf programs in the nation based on the final Golfstat rankings that were published on March 19, 2020.

Format: The tournament includes an opening round of stroke play, after which an individual champion will be named and seedings will be determined. These seedings will dictate the next two days of match play. The East Lake Cup is designed to mimic the format of the NCAA Championships.
Course Information: Competition will be played at the prestigious East Lake Golf Club, home of The Tour Championship, which is the final event of the PGA TOUR Playoffs.
The Field: The field features Florida, SEC foes Ole Miss and South Carolina, as well as Texas. This is the first time that any of these featured programs have competed in the East Lake Cup.

Tournament History: The East Lake Cup began in 2015 and is a collegiate competition that features the top men’s and women’s golf programs from the previous year’s NCAA Championships. Eight programs, four men’s and four women’s teams, converge on Atlanta, Ga. to compete in the Cup. This is the first time that Florida will be competing.
