The program’s 52nd season will tee off at the Cougar Classic on Sept. 11-12.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida head women’s coach Emily Glasser announced the 2023-24 schedule on Thursday, featuring a total of nine tournaments with four in the fall and five in the spring.
The program’s 52nd season begins at the Cougar Classic on September 11-12 at Yeamans Hall Club, in Charleston, South Carolina. A two-time winner of the event, the Gators finished 3rd overall in back-to-back appearances in 2019 and 2021. Next up is another event that Florida has won in the Glass City Invitational (Sept. 25-26) in Toledo, Ohio at Inverness Club. The Gators won the inaugural event in 2019.
Florida wraps up the fall season at the Tar Heel Invitational at Governors Club in Chapel Hill, N.C. from October 9-10. The fall finale is for The Ally October 23-25 at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi. Two years ago, Maisie Filler tied the second all-time in program history for low individual tournament score at 203 (-13) and was one stroke away from the program record (202) set by current LPGA player Sam Wagner.
The spring season beings once again at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes, Calif. From February 4-6. Florida tees off back-to-back tournaments in the ‘Sunshine State’ with the Moon Golf Invitational (Feb. 18-20) in Melbourne at Suntree Country Club and then the host of the 52nd Gators Invitational (March 2-3) at Mark Bostick Golf Course. The Gators look to win the event for the ninth straight year and 27th overall.
Two more regular-season outings remain with a second trip to South Carolina for the Briar’s Creek Invitational (March 11-12). A tournament, UF won for three consecutive years from 2014-16. The regular-season finale will take place at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic in Athens, Georgia.
Postseason will feature two new designations this year. For the first time since 2013, the SEC Championship is not taking place in Birmingham as the 2024 conference tournament is set for April 12-16 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.
NCAA Regionals go from May 6-8 with host sites consisting of Auburn, Michigan State, Texas A&M, Wake Forest, Washington and UNLV.
The 2024 NCAA Championships will mark its debut in Carlsbad, California at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa from May 17-22.
