UF WGOLF: Final Round of Stanford Intercollegiate Set for Tomorrow

Jackie Lucena continues to lead the Gators and sits T17.

STANFORD, Calif. – The Florida women’s golf team shot its second straight round of 298 (+5) at the Stanford Intercollegiate on Saturday.

The Gators are in 11th as one stroke separates them from the top-10 and nine from the top-5 as host and No. 1 Stanford leads the tournament at -11.

Marina Escobar was +4 on the front and responded with a -3 performance in her next set of nine holes. She fired back-to-back birdies on 16 (par-5, 503 yards) and 17 (par-3, 167 yards) to card a clean back nine to sit tied for 36th with Annabell Fuller.

Senior Jackie Lucena continues to lead the lineup as she is in T17. The California native is even overall for the tournament with rounds of 70 (-1) and 72 (+1).

Rounding out the lineup is Maisie Filler (T46), who had stretch of three straight birdies (holes 5-7) and Taylor Roberts (T59) with individual Jenny Kim in T77.

Florida tees off the final round to wrap up the fall schedule at 11:30 a.m. ET tomorrow.
