Liv McGill Named Semifinalist in World Exposure Report’s Freshman of the Year Award
The World Exposure Report announced its semifinalist for the 2025 Freshman of the Year Award, featuring Florida’s leading scorer, Liv McGill.
GAINESVILLE, Fla.— Florida’s Liv McGill has been named a semifinalist on World Exposure Report’s Freshman of the Year list. McGill joins nine other breakout freshmen from the NCAA in this honor.
McGill is the only freshman in the country to have a triple double next to her name and she leads all freshman in assists. McGill currently averages 5.4 assists a game and has a combined 129 for the season.
In the scoring column, McGill averages 16.4 points per game to lead the Gators and hold a spot in the SEC’s top 15 for scoring. In 22 of Florida’s 24 games this season McGill has secured double figures in scoring—10 of them being 20+ point performances. McGill posted a career high 28 points at Florida State on Nov. 22, 2024.
Overall, McGill represents UF in several categories in the SEC’s most recent standings; top-15 for scoring (No. 13), assists (No. 4), free throw percentage (No. 13), and steals (No. 14).
