Florida is set to take on UNLV inside Cox Pavilion Sunday night, in hopes of securing a spot into the 2025 WBIT quarterfinals.
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Florida continues its postseason at UNLV on Sunday evening in round two of the WBIT. The Gators travel to Rebels territory at the No. 3 seed, while UNLV sits at the No. 2 seed. The matchup between UF and the Rebels will tip off inside Cox Pavilion at 5 p.m. ET and will be streamed on ESPN+.

THE SERIES:
The Gators and the Rebels have only met once before in recorded history, dating back to December of 2018. UF fell in Vegas to put the record at 1-0 in favor of the Rebels.
GATORS X REBELS HISTORY:
Florida and UNLV have a brief history with only one recorded matchup between the respective SEC and MW schools. Their sole meeting was on Dec. 21, 2018, inside Cox Pavilion. With the home-court advantage, UNLV defeated the Gators by one possession at 56-53. Sunday’s matchup will mark the first meeting between the Rebels and Gators in seven years.

ABOUT UNLV:
The Rebels enter the second round of the WBIT with an impressive 26-7 overall record from the 2024-25 season. During conference play, UNLV posted 16 wins and only fell to Wyoming and San Diego State. During the Mountain West Tournament, UNLV fell 71-59 to San Diego State once more in the semifinals.
UNLV’s most recent contest was a Thursday win over Hawaii. The Rebels defeated Hawaii 63-46 on their home court to solidify their spot in round two of the WBIT. UNLV was awarded the No. 2 seed in the 2025 tournament, allowing the Rebels to be the host site for WBIT’s initial rounds.
Individually, UNLV is led in scoring by Amarachi with an average of 14.2 points per game. The Rebels have three others posting double figures in scoring, Jackson (12.5), Alexander (10.8), and Meadow Roland (10.1). Brown leads the Rebels on the defensive with an average of 5.8 rebounds per game, followed by Meadow at 4.3.
