DID YOU KNOW:
Liv McGill<https://floridagators.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/liv-mcgill/16880> is the first Gator freshman in almost 19 years to start her collegiate career with three-consecutive double-digit scoring efforts. She turned in 14 points in last Monday’s win versus Florida Atlantic, posted 21 versus Florida A&M on Nov. 7, and hit 21 once more tonight versus Chicago State.

The last was Sha Brooks<https://floridagators.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/sha-brooks/647> in the 2005-06 campaign. Brooks opened her Gator career with 14 points on Nov. 18, 2005 in a home win versus St. Francis (N.Y.), followed with 18 points in a road victory at Seton Hall on Nov. 18, 2005 and then scored 14 in a loss at Florida State.

GATOR BITES:
UF coach Kelly Rae Finley<https://floridagators.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/coaches/kelly-rae-finley/1658> on what worked tonight and the result:
“I thought we shared the ball extremely well. We worked really hard the last couple days on how we move together and just seeing each other. Holding a team to 21-percent shooting from the field is extremely impressive and only sending them to the free throw line for eight attempts is pretty darn good.”

UF coach Kelly Rae Finley<https://floridagators.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/coaches/kelly-rae-finley/1658> on freshman McGill and her presence on the court:
“I started a radio interview today talking about Liv being an old school point guard and floor general… it’s extremely hard to guard if you are the opposing team. A lot of it has to do with how she sees the floor and how she is able to make everyone have to guard. As the season continues to go on, the experience and chemistry on the court is just going to continue to improve, which is only going to help Liv and our team improve in understanding the feel for what’s needed and when.”

Freshman Liv McGill<https://floridagators.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/liv-mcgill/16880> on what Florida will look to improve on prior to Saturday’s contest:
“Communication on offense and defense is very critical and making sure we are on the same page. Coach Kelly always tells us that we know what we are doing we just have to remind ourselves to pick up the communication. So, we will be excellent in practice with that and carry it over to the game on Saturday.”

TEAM RECORDS:
Florida: 3-0 (0-0 SEC)
Chicago State: 0-4 (0-0 NEC)
