UF WBK: Gators Set to Face Memphis and Georgia Tech in 2025 Cayman Islands Classic

The official matchups for the 2025 Cayman Islands Classic have been announced, unveiling that Florida is set to play Memphis and Georgia Tech.

GEORGE TOWN, Grand Cayman- The Florida women’s basketball team is headed to the Cayman Islands this November, with matchups officially set for the 2025 Thanksgiving tournament. The Cayman Islands Classic will take place on Nov. 28-29, with all games to be played at John Gray Gymnasium in George Town, Grand Cayman.

Florida has been slated to take on Memphis in its opening game on Friday, Nov. 28, at 7:30 p.m. ET. The matchup between UF and Memphis will be the fourth and final game of the day. The Gators will then return to the court on Saturday, Nov. 29, to face Georgia Tech at 5 p.m. ET. Florida will meet GT for the first time since defeating them 68-58 in the 2023 ACC-SEC Challenge.

Now in its third year, the Cayman Islands Classic features a loaded field of eight teams split into two divisions-Cayman Brac and Little Cayman-named for the islands that, along with Grand Cayman, make up the Cayman Islands. Florida joins Georgia Tech, Memphis, and St. John’s in the Cayman Brac Division. Charlotte, George Washington, Miami, and Oklahoma State will compete in the Little Cayman Division.
