KELLY RAE FINLEY SAID:
UF coach Kelly Rae Finley<https://floridagators.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/coaches/kelly-rae-finley/1658> on playing the No. 1 team in the country:
“They are a really good South Carolina team, there is a reason why they are the number one team in the country. They are good on both ends of the floor, they play together as a team, they share the ball very, very well. Obviously, their first quarter and third quarter was where they really separated from us, but I was proud of our team’s effort. I thought that we had a relentless mentality and there’s a lot of things that we can learn from this game.

UF coach Kelly Rae Finley<https://floridagators.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/coaches/kelly-rae-finley/1658> on the home crowd:
I love the crowd that we have and I think we have a really fun team to watch. I hope that people keep coming back to watch us and support us as the season continues because it makes a difference for us and our student athletes. So lots to learn from, lots of growing to do, but if I know one thing about our team it’s that we are determined. We have a really strong growth mindset and we’re very, very connected, so that’s what you’re going to see from us moving forward.

SENIOR GUARD LEILANI CORREA SAID:
Senior guard Leilani Correa on her offensive performance with a season high of 28 points:
“My team needed me. Some of the shots we were taking weren’t falling, so even before the game I was locked in and was like, I just need to be ready to go with my team. I wasn’t going in thinking I’d be knocking down shots like that but we’ve been putting in the work, especially with SEC playing coming and I think that paid off.”

The all-time series between Florida and South Carolina stands at 22-20 with the Gamecocks leading by two.
