The Gators have officially signed the seventh-ranked prospect in the nation to their 2024-25 roster. Liv McGill will join Florida women’s basketball as a freshman next season and sets the standard as the highest ranked recruit in program history.
GAINESVILLE, Fla.- Head Coach Kelly Rae Finley has announced the signing of the highest-ranked recruit in Florida’s program history, Alivia “Liv” McGill. Hailing from Finley’s home state of Minnesota, McGill currently sits as the seventh-best women’s basketball recruit in the country (ProspectsNation).
The signing of McGill marks the second consecutive year that Coach Kelly Finley and the Gators have landed a five-star recruit. Liv will arrive as a freshman during the fall of 2024 and officially join the Gators for their 2024-25 campaign.
The 5’9 commit out of Minnesota is also ranked in the top 20 recruits by ESPN HoopGurlz, sitting at 16. McGill is a two-time Adidas All-American player and was selected for the 2023 USA Adidas Eurocamp this past summer playing in Treviso, Italy.
