Gregory recognized after claiming the top spot in the Men’s 200m at the McFerrin-12 Degree Invitational.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Gators Men’s Track & Field athlete Robert Gregory has been named SEC Co-Runner of the Week, as announced by the Southeastern Conference on Tuesday afternoon.
Gregory is being recognized for his performance at the McFerrin-12 Degree Invitational where he was one of nine first place finishes earned by the Gators at the meet.
Competing in the Men’s 200m, Gregory recorded a time of 20.47. Although this mark is 0.25 seconds short of the senior’s personal best, it currently stands as the fastest time in the nation in the event and the second fastest time on the current world list.
Additionally, as this was the first meet at Texas A&M’s brand new R.A. Fasken Indoor Track, Gregory’s time stands as a facility record.
