HOLLOWAY’S WORDS
On the second day of the competition…
“Tough day for the ladies, we just never got any consistent momentum going. I am very proud of the ladies [Jasmine Moore and Claire Bryant] in the long jump for battling through some tough conditions to put up 10 big points for the Lady Gators and also for Alida [van Daalen] for her new personal best to finish fourth [in the shot put]. Even with the adversity we faced today we still qualified in some key events with Talitha [Diggs] and Grace [Stark] and we still have some big events coming tomorrow with the Heptathlon and Saturday. Today is over. We need to reset and come out the rest of the weekend and compete with pride and passion as we always do.”
