Jenoah McKiver, Grace Stark and Anna Hall helped power Team USA to record-breaking performances and historic gold in Tokyo.
TOKYO – The 2025 World Championships concluded its nine day event in Tokyo, where three former Gators found podium finishes for Team USA. Jenoah McKiver, Grace Stark and Anna Hall were among the 19 athletes representing the University of Florida who walked away with hardware.
McKiver helped lead Team USA to a first-place finish in the 4x400m mixed relay. The quartet of Bryce Deadmon, Lynna Irby-Jackson, McKiver and Alexis Holmes clocked a 3:08.80, establishing a new Championship Record. The former Gator delivered a standout third leg in 43.91 seconds, the fastest split of the race.
Stark became the second Gator to reach the podium, earning bronze in the 100m hurdles with a time of 12.34 seconds on day three of the competition.
Hall captured the women’s heptathlon title on day eight, becoming the first American to win since Jackie Joyner-Kersee in 1993 and earning her first world gold. The former Gator led from the start, posting strong marks across all seven events, including personal bests in the shot put (15.80m) and javelin (48.13m), plus a season-best in the 100m hurdles (13.05). Hall placed in the top three in five events and sealed her victory with 6,888 points after closing with a decisive 2:06.68 in the 800m.
