Gators Conclude Indoor Season at NCAA Championships
Florida finishes the first half of the track and field calendar with entries in the Triple Jump and 4x400m Relay.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Florida Gators wrapped up day two of the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Virginia Beach Sports Complex on Saturday, finalizing the first half of team competition of the 2025 track and field schedule

Two entries competed for the Orange and Blue on the last day of championship competition. Asia Phillips competed in the women’s triple jump, ultimately earning a tenth-place finish with her 13.11m first attempt. Her eventual finish was six spots ahead of her national seed entering competition.

The Gators’ 4x400m relay squad, competing in the final heat of the evening, ultimately earned an eighth-place finish with a 3:06.93 time. That final heat, characterized largely by a potentially championship-altering collision and a significant blunder by part of the officiating crew, led to a series of protests and a disqualification. The Gators’ final time was not ultimately affected, and took eighth place once the dust had settled.

Ashton Schwartzman stood out, posting a 46.51-second second leg which was the fastest of Florida’s group
