The athletes join a program that earned a 2023 Men’s NCAA Championship and four total runner-up finishes at SEC and NCAA competitions.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The fourteen-time NCAA Champions Florida Track & Field program announced the addition of an outstanding 32 new members in its 2023-2024 recruiting class over the course of the recruiting season.
This selection of athletes brings a variety of talent to both the Men’s and Women’s side of the program featuring an evenly distributed mix of sprints, distance, jumps and throws. The thirty-two signees include a mix of successful high school athletes, experienced collegiate talent, and thriving international competitors.
“I am very excited about our incoming class. I feel we addressed the needs of the program in all areas – distance, jumps, sprints and throws,” said Coach Mike Holloway. “[I am] Excited to watch this group help the program fight for championships in the future.”
The men of the 2023 recruiting class join a program that not only won the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Championship, but placed third in the 2023 NCAA Indoor Championship. Additionally, the men placed second at SEC Indoor Championships and seventh at SEC Outdoor Championships.
On the women’s side, the incoming recruiting class adds to a program that finished runner-up at SEC Indoor, SEC Outdoor and NCAA Outdoor Championships. The women also recorded a third-place finish at NCAA Indoor Championships.
