UF S&D: Three Gators Set to Compete at U.S. Olympic Diving Trials

The U.S. Olympic Diving Trials will be held from Monday, June 17 to Sunday, June 23 in Knoxville, Tenn.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – With Florida Swimmers currently competing at the Olympic Swim Trials, UF Divers Conor Gesing, Peyton Donald and Casey Greenberg are set to represent the Gators at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Diving Trials. The week-long event will take place from Monday, June 17 to Sunday, June 23 at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center in Knoxville, Tenn.

All three divers will compete on Friday, June 21 in session 7. Donald and Gesing will dive first in the men’s 3-meter preliminary, as Greenberg headlines the morning session in the women’s platform event. The top-16 advance to the semifinals, which takes place Friday night. The top-eight finishers from semifinals will advance to the Saturday finals session.
The top two divers in the individual springboard events and the winner of Platform events make the team, while winners of the three synchronized events make Team USA.

  *   In his rookie season, Gesing was named the 2024 SEC Men’s Freshman Diver of the Year after his historic SEC Championships debut. He was named the SEC Championship Men’s Diver of the Year after taking home two medals. He won gold in the Men’s 1-Meter, marking the first time since 1985 that Florida has taken the top podium spot. Gesing went on to earn his first All-American honor in the event at NCAA Championships.
  *   Peyton earned one All-American honor after finishing 14th on the 1-Meter at NCAA Championships. His springboard success was also present at conference championships, scoring a personal-best 399.80 to win the 3-Meter Consolation Final and place ninth overall at his first SEC Championships.
  *   Casey Greenberg qualified for trials after scoring a 286.30 at NCAA Diving Zones this past March. The junior placed in the top-eight in the event at Zones, just shy of the seven qualifying NCAA Championship spots.
