20 individual men and five relays will compete in Indianapolis this week.
Gainesville, Fla. – The No. 2 Florida men’s swimming and diving will travel 16 swimmers and four divers to Indianapolis, Ind. to compete in the 2024 Men’s NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.
Championship action is set to take place March 27-30 at the IU Natatorium, with Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and Indiana Sports Corporation both serve as hosts institution.
Peter Bretzmann, Eric Brown, Scotty Buff, Adam Chaney, Edouard Fullum-Huot, Joaquin Gonzalez Pinero, Mason Laur, Joshua Liendo, Oskar Lindholm, Giovanni Linscheer, Jonny Marshall, Macguire McDuff, Jake Mitchell, Aleksas Savickas, Julian Smith, and Andrew Taylor advanced to the national championships based on their season-best times in 16 different events.
Skip Donald, Peyton Donald, Conor Gesing and Anton Svirskyi will join the group qualifying in the NCAA Diving Zones<https://floridagators.com/news/2024/3/13/gators-find-success-at-zones-qualifying-six-for-ncaa-championships.aspx> early last week. Svirskyi will make his second NCAA appearance; earning his first All-American honor after finishing 15th on platform at the 2022 NCAA Championships. Additionally, Skip Donald will be making his second-straight Championship appearance. He qualified in all three diving events last year, while his brother Peyton Donald will make his NCAA return in the 1-Meter and his first in the 3-Meter. Gesing is set for his first appearance after qualifying in the 1-Meter.
The Gators also qualified five relays, with the 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 800 free relay, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay all hitting the qualifying standard.

* A total of 270 participants (235 swimmers and 35 divers) will compete in the championships. Swimmers qualified for the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered.

* Florida has the third-most swimmers qualify, sitting behind Arizona State (17) and North Carolina State (18).
* The Gators had 14 athletes earn 42 All-Americans, won four national championship titles and broke three NCAA relay records en route to a sixth-place finish at last year’s NCAA championships.

* The No. 4 Florida men’s team brought home their 12th consecutive SEC Championship on Feb. 24, scoring an NCAA and program best 1,584 points. This title marks the 45th SEC Championship in program history, the second-most by any SEC team across all sports (Kentucky MBK – 49). The Gators sit behind their own 13-year consecutive record from 1955-1968 and is one of two programs in the history of the SEC to garner 12 straight titles (Florida – 13 from 1955-1968; Auburn – 16 from 1996-2012).
* Josh Liendo tied with Texas A&M’s Baylor Nelson for the men’s Commissioner’s Trophy with the meet’s high point totals of 91 each and Conor Gesing was named the Men’s Diver of the Meet.
* The Gators claimed 12 gold (seven individual, five relays), six silver and five bronze medals.
* On top of the American Record set by the 200 Medley Relay Team (Chaney, Smith, Buff, McDuff), the Gators set nine Auburn pool, Five SEC Meet and three program records.
* Florida holds the top spot in six individual events, while all five relays sit second behind Arizona State.
