UF S&D: Gators Conclude Day One of Florida Invite

11 Gators took part in Thursday’s events.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida Men’s and Women’s swimming team concluded Day One of the Florida Invitational with NOVA Southeastern on Thursday afternoon inside the O’Connell Center Natatorium.

11 Gators took part in three individual final events, with 10 improving from their morning prelim times.

Day two kicks off with practice heats beginning at 9:00 a.m. prior to the 9:30 a.m. prelims, followed by practice final heats starting at 4:00 p.m. before the final heats.

The Florida Invite is the final prep before the Gators head to Auburn, Alabama for SEC Championships from Feb. 20-24. The men’s team is looking for its 12th-straight SEC title, while the women go for back-to-back SEC Champions.
