UF S&D: Florida Divers Set for NCAA Zones

Six Gators head to Auburn, AL. to compete for an NCAA Championship spot.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida’s mens’ and women’s divers are set to compete at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships in Auburn, Ala. at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center. The four-day event runs from Sunday, March 9 through Wednesday, March 12.

Representing the Gators on the men’s side are Elisha Dees, Peyton Donald, Conor Gesing and Jesus Gonzalez, while Camyla Monroy and Casey Greenberg represent the women’s team.

Last year, Donald won the one-meter event in Athens, Ga. and qualified in the three-meter for the first time after finishing eleventh. This season, Peyton set the program’s record in the 1-meter (392.78) before Gesing took his spot with his 412.75 score set at this year’s SEC Championships on Feb. 20.

Gesing advanced to his first NCAA Championships last year in the men’s one-meter. Donald has qualified for at least one event in the past two seasons, while Dees and Gonzalez look to punch their first ticket.
After qualifying for all three events at last year’s zones, Monroy returned to Athens for the women’s NCAA Championships and earned her first All-American honor in the 1-meter.

Greenberg finished eighth overall at 2024 zones, just shy of the advancing top-seven platform scores. Fortunately, her prelim score of 286.30 was enough to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Trials, where she was a finalist.
The men’s one-meter competition will commence on Sunday with preliminaries starting at 12 p.m. and finals following at 2:30 p.m.

The women’s one-meter preliminaries kick off Monday’s events at 12 p.m. with the championship round set for 2:45 p.m. The men’s three-meter preliminary round follows at 4:45 p.m. with finals starting at 7 p.m. to close out day two.

Tuesday’s events begin with the women’s three-meter at 12 p.m. Finals is set for 2:45 p.m. before the men climb the tower for platform competition. Prelims will begin at 4:30 p.m. with finals at 6:15 p.m.
Women’s platform diving concludes Zone B competition on Wednesday, with prelims set to begin at 12 p.m. and finals at 1:30 p.m.
