GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida softball program and head coach Tim Walton announced the addition of Madison Walker to the program on Monday morning.

Walker, a transfer infielder from Missouri, joins the Gators as a rising junior and has two years of eligibility remaining.

“We’re very excited that Madison has decided to become a Gator,” Walton said.

“She comes in with a powerful bat and the ability to play multiple positions in the infield in the SEC.”

Walker, who was the Tigers’ primary third baseman in 2025, appeared in 98 games, making 88 starts over her two seasons in Columbia.

She owns a .239 (66-for-276) career batting average, with 19 home runs, six doubles, 64 RBI and nine walks.

This season, she blasted a team-high 18 home runs, including six in SEC play.

She joins four current Gators who have also won the award in their respective states: Ava Brown (Texas), Jocelyn Erickson, (Arizona), Keagan Rothrock (Indiana) and Katelynn Oxley (Florida).
