Walsh slugged four home runs and drove in 11 runs in a 5-0 week for the No. 3 Gators.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Following a four-home run weekend, senior Reagan Walsh was named the Southeastern Conference Co-Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
Walsh’s second career SEC weekly honor was shared with South Carolina’s Arianna Rodi.
Helping lead the Gator offense to a 5-0 week, Walsh drove in a team-best 11 runs.
She hit four home runs, including her second grand slam of the season and fifth in her career vs. Western Michigan on March 1.
She matched both her season-high of five RBI and career-best of three hits against the Broncos and recorded her first multi-home run game as a senior.
The Redondo Beach, Calif., native slugged 1.625 over five games with a team-high eight runs and for the second time in her career hit home runs in back-to-back-to-back games.
Walsh batted .668 (11-for-16), with seven of her hits going for extra bases, three doubles and four home runs, and had multi-hit performances in every game.
She is the second Florida player to earn an SEC weekly honor this season.
Taylor Shumaker was named SEC Co-Freshman of the Week on Feb. 10.
Up next, the No. 3 Gators (23-1) hit the road for four games in Texas.
First, Florida will face Houston on March 5, before traveling to College Station to kick off SEC play with a three-game series against No. 6 Texas A&M on March 7.
