GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Kylie Shaw, who signed her athletics aid agreement with the Florida softball team on National Signing Day in November, is reclassifying and will join the Gators this spring.
She will be eligible to play during the 2025 season.
A freshman outfielder from Estero, Fla., Shaw will wear No. 2 for Florida.
Shaw, who graduated early from Evangelical Christian School, won a 2024 Class 2A State Championship as a junior and earned First-Team All-State Class 2A honors. She played travel ball for Sparks Elite Stewart/Ross.
“I’m super excited to have the opportunity to join this team early,” Shaw said.
“It gives me the chance to learn from the best and have an opportunity to compete for a national championship. This team is special and I’m looking forward to being part of that. I’m excited for what this season will bring. I know there is something great in store for us this year.”
Shaw joins Gabi Comia, Layla Lamar, Taylor Shumaker, Katelynn Oxley and Townsen Thomas to make up Florida’s freshman class.
