Florida has been ranked as a top-3 team in all four major preseason polls: Softball America (No. 1), D1 Softball (No. 1), ESPN/USA Softball (No. 2) and the NFCA Coaches Poll (No. 3)
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Florida softball team will start the season ranked No. 3 in the 2025 NFCA/GoRout Division I Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The Gators ranked behind Southeastern Conference opponents Texas (No. 1) and Oklahoma (No. 2) and received six first-place votes.
Florida has been tabbed as a top-3 team in all four major preseason polls, including No. 1 rankings from Softball America and D1 Softball and a No. 2 ranking by ESPN/USA Softball.
11 SEC teams ranked in the top-25 in the preseason poll, the most of any conference in the country.
The Gators will play a combined 22 games against eight teams ranked in the top-25 this season.
