BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Florida softball team matched a conference-high five All-Southeastern Conference preseason selections, the SEC announced on Thursday.
Keagan Rothrock, Korbe Otis, Kendra Falby, Reagan Walsh and Jocelyn Erickson each earned All-SEC Preseason Team recognition by a vote of the conference’s head coaches.
Erickson, Falby, Otis and Walsh were All-SEC First Team selections in 2024, while Rothrock was named to the All-SEC Second Team.
Erickson is the reigning SEC Player of the Year and Rothrock is the reigning SEC Freshman of the Year.
As a team, Florida was selected to finish second in the league and received six first-place votes. The 2024 SEC Tournament Champions, the Gators are coming off a 54-win 2024 season that included the program’s 12th trip to the Women’s College World Series.
Florida finished second in the SEC last season with a 17-7 record in conference play, winning seven of eight conference series.
The No. 3/2 Gators open the 2025 season at home on Feb. 6 vs. North Florida, before traveling to Tampa for the USF-Rawlings Invitational from Feb. 7-9.
