BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – In a continuing effort to recognize student-athletes’ accomplishments beyond the competition field, the SEC highlighted a Community Service Team for men’s tennis. Florida’s JanMagnus Johnson<https://floridagators.com/sports/mens-tennis/roster/janmagnus-johnson/17174> is among the 12 selected to the 2025 SEC Community Service Team.
All league-sponsored sports have had a Community Service Team since 2004, with at-large teams for men’s and women’s sports being chosen from 1999-2003.
In the past year, Johnson has shown a strong commitment to community service through his involvement in various initiatives in the Gainesville community. His contributions span across civic engagement, education, and youth support, offering his time to organizations such as Special Olympics Florida, Climb for Cancer, and volunteering at local schools such as Williams Elementary and Lake Forest Elementary. Whether assisting with Gator Tracks deliveries or participating in reading programs, Johnson has consistently dedicated his time to making a meaningful difference.
Overall, Johnson’s willingness to be a leader both on and off the court has left a lasting impact on the Gainesville community.
