The Gators look to extend their undefeated streak at home on Sunday as they face No. 4 Texas
GAINESVILLE, Fla.- The Gators hosts No. 4 Texas at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex on Sunday, March 2. The match marks the first time the two will compete as members of the same conference. Doubles will begin a 12 p.m. with singles following immediately after.
Florida enters Sunday’s match with an 8-4 overall record and 3-0 in conference play. The all-time series between UF and Texas is in favor of the Longhorns at 8-15. The last time the teams met was January 8, 2023 in Gainesville where the Longhorns took the victory 5-2.
The Gators last contest was a 6-1 victory over Kentucky. Despite not clinching the doubles point, UF took all six courts in singles to secure the win.
The Longhorns enter Sunday’s match with an 11-2 overall record and 2-0 in conference action. Texas’ last outing was a 6-1 win over Ole Miss.
