Gators set to battle the Tigers as SEC play kicks-off
GAINESVILLE, Fla.- The Gators return to action in Linder Stadium at Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex on Saturday, February 22, against Auburn. The match is slated for 12 p.m. and marks the start of conference play.
Florida enters Saturday’s match with a 5-4 record. The all-time series between the two is in favor of the Gators with 50-17. The last time the teams met was March 15, 2024 in Tiger territory. Auburn claimed the victory, 4-1.
The Gators’ last contest was a 6-1 victory over North Florida, where the Orange and Blue showcased their depth by claiming courts 1-5 in singles. The Gators claimed the doubles point against the Ospreys, giving them an early advantage.
The Tigers enter Saturday’s match with a 7-2 record. Auburn’s last outing was a 5-0 win over FGCU extending their current win streak to 5.
