WINDERMERE, Fla. – After a bumpy start to begin the fall, the Florida men’s golf team closed out the final day of the Isleworth Collegiate and fall season on a strong note Tuesday.
The Gators shot a combined 6-under (282) for its best round of the tournament and second lowest of the fall to finish T5. Today’s round was tied for the lowest on the final day and third lowest overall.

“Thank you to Brett Cafferty and everyone at Isleworth for putting on what is consistently one of the best events in college golf.
Today’s final round was a nice way to finish what has been an incredibly humbling semester of golf. We have the highest goals in our program and struggled to reach those this fall. Thankfully, it’s still early and we have time to get things right before the championship season is upon us. I can promise you motivation is not going to be a problem for Gator Golf this winter.”
“I’m happy that Fred Biondi<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__floridagators.com_roster.aspx-3Frp-5Fid-3D14517&d=DwIFAg&c=sJ6xIWYx-zLMB3EPkvcnVg&r=o5LKAX7slotfFMyE71jI7L22NYBIi1-KbRGNSXudTPo&m=MFOlTQzOLVAnGnGPOKXI8UAVeFaVgP4tM5ZNTRDzHRI&s=8dk79y0VPFxOOcOMb6QHzNMvIaWfkPGYZ6EVjdGs2Uw&e= > got a taste of the player he can be. His 67 today was a phenomenal round and easily the lowest score of anyone on the final day. He should be a consistent contributor for us and today is his proof.”
