UF MGOLF | Gators Add Transfer Noah Kent

Kent, the runner-up at the 2024 United States Amateur Championship, will join Florida next fall.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida men’s golf head coach J.C. Deacon announced the signing of Noah Kent to the program on Monday.  A native of Naples, Fla., Kent joins the Gators after two seasons at Iowa and will have two years of eligibility left and begin play at UF next fall.

  *   Runner-up at the 2024 United States Amateur Championship
  *   Participating in the 2025 Masters Tournament
  *   Had a team-best stroke average of 72.8, the lowest mark by an Iowa freshman all-time
  *   Participated in the 2025 Walker Cup Practice Session with current Gator Parker Bell
  *   Played in every tournament (15) at Iowa, appearing in the No. 1 spot seven times
  *   Owns a college scoring average of 72.3
  *   In 45 collegiate rounds, 21 have been for par or better
  *   Has 10 top-25, five top-10 and two top-5 finishes
  *   Tied for second-lowest round in Hawkeye history with a 63 at the Puerto Rico Classic
  *   Finished T11th at the BIG 10 Championship last season
  *   2023 Rolex Junior All-American
  *   Southwest Florida Player of the Year
  *   Posted lowest scoring average in Gulf Coast Prep history
  *   Logged Florida high school record round of 64
  *   Named first team all-conference three times in high school, along with second team-all conference honors as a freshman
  *   Runner-up at the 2023 Western Junior Championship
  *   Third-place outing at the 2023 Southern Junior Championship
