Three SEC teams will be featured in the Holiday Hoopsgiving tripleheader
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida men’s basketball will compete in the Holiday Hoopsgiving event vs. Arizona State in Atlanta on Saturday, Dec. 14. The matchup will take place at State Farm Arena as part of a tripleheader that also features Auburn vs. Ohio State and Georgia vs. Grand Canyon.
Time, television and ticket information will be announced at a later date.
Florida holds an all-time 2-0 mark against the Sun Devils, last meeting in Tempe in the 2008 NIT quarterfinals where Marreese Speights’ double-double (14 points, 10 rebounds) and Walter Hodge’s 18 points led UF to a 70-57 win despite James Harden’s 18 points for ASU.
Atlanta has been a site of success in Florida men’s basketball history, as the Gators claimed the 2006 national championship and the 2005, 2007 and 2014 SEC Tournament titles all in the Georgia Dome.
The game is the fifth of the Gators’ 2024-25 nonconference schedule to be officially announced.
