UF LAX | Thirty-Seven Gators Named to AAC All-Academic Team

The 37 honorees are the most for the Florida lacrosse team in program history

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida’s lacrosse team dominated in the classroom during the 2021 season as 37 student-athletes were named to the AAC All-Academic Team as the American Athletic Conference announced Thursday.

That number serves as a Florida lacrosse record for conference academic award honorees.

On the field, Florida swept both the American Athletic Conference regular season and tournament titles, while going undefeated in league play for the fifth-straight season. The Gators finished the season with an 18-3 record – making the program’s sixth NCAA Quarterfinal. The squad collected four IWLCA All-America honors, 10 All-AAC accolades and swept the six major AAC postseason awards.

To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have competed in an American Athletic Conference-sponsored sport, attained a minimum grade-point average of 3.00 for the preceding academic year, and completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters of work.
