The Hampstead, Md. native elects to play fifth year at Florida
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida women’s lacrosse team officially announced the addition of attacker Tayler Warehime to the program as a transfer on Wednesday.
Warehime – a rising fifth year – spent her undergraduate career at the University of North Carolina, where she captained the team to a national championship in the 2022 season.
The Hampstead, Md. native saw action in 62 games during her tenure with the Tar Heels, earning 42 starts.

Senior Season (2022)
* Team captain in 2022 along with Ally Mastroianni, Jamie Ortega and Emma Trenchard
* Saw action in 15 games, earning three starts
* Concluded the season with 11 goals, four assists and 15 points
* Scored on 11 of her 18 shots on target
* Had hat tricks against High point (March 23) and Virginia (April 14)
* Tallied a goal and two assists at Florida on Feb. 19
* Recorded a goal in the NCAA Second Round vs. Virginia on May 15
* Named to the All-ACC Academic Team
Junior Season (2021)
* Started all 21 games as a Tar Heel, finishing fifth on the team in scoring
* Set new career highs with 38 goals, eight assists and 46 points
* Tied for third on the team in goals
* Scored goals in 18 of 21 games
* Tied her career high with four goals against Stony Brook in the regular season and Louisville in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals
* Also had hat tricks with three goals against Boston College in the regular season, Virginia on April 16, James Madison in the NCAA second round and Stony Brook in the NCAA quarterfinals
* Connected on 38 of 67 shot attempts to rank third on the team in shooting percentage at .567
Sophomore Season (2020)
* Appeared in five of seven games on the season, starting four
* Tied for fourth on the team in scoring with 12 points
* Scored 10 goals and had two assists
* Scored her 10 goals on 17 shots, a shooting percentage of .588
* Also had three ground balls and two caused turnovers
Freshman Season (2019)
* Developed into a key offensive cog quickly as a freshman
* Scored goals in 15 of 21 games with a season high of six in the ACC Tournament vs. Virginia Tech
* Scored four times in her first college outing against James Madison and against No. 3 Syracuse on April 13
* Scored three consecutive second-half goals against the Orange
* Recorded a hat trick with three goals in the ACC final victory over top-ranked Boston College
* Ranked the No. 19 incoming freshman in the nation for 2019 by Inside Lacrosse
* Named to the All-ACC Academic Team
Prior to UNC
* Played for Coaches Debi Hall and Shelly Brezicki at North Carroll HS and Manchester Valley HS
* Played four years of lacrosse, three of soccer, three of basketball, one of cross country and one of track
* Two-time US Lacrosse All-America pick
* 2018 Under Armour All-America
* Two-time Under Armour Underclass Team Baltimore
* Two-time Baltimore Sun All-Metro choice
* Four-time all-conference pick … Posted career totals of 226 goals, 70 assists and 301 draw controls
* Had 76 goals and 21 assists as a senior
