The sophomore attacker averaged 4.00 points per game the past week
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – For her performances against Colgate and then-No. 7 James Madison, sophomore attacker Emma LoPinto was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll.
This is LoPinto’s fourth AAC accolade in six week this season.
The Manhasset, N.Y. native averaged 4.00 points, 2.50 goals and 1.50 assists over the course of the last week.
Against the Colgate Raiders, she dished out three assists – tying her season-high output in that category. The sophomore also added one goal, one groundball and one caused turnover in the 18-5 victory.
Kicking off AAC play against James Madison on Saturday, LoPinto scored a team-high four goals, once again tying her season-high. She also picked up two groundballs in the 14-9 loss against the Dukes.
LoPinto currently sits fourth in the league in goals per game (2.75), fifth in points per game (3.88), seventh in shots per game (5.00) and eighth in assists per game (1.12).
The Gators are back in action on Wednesday when the team travels to Mercer. Opening draw is slated for 3 p.m. on ESPN+.
