UF LAX: Hamilton Earns Second Straight Big 12 Freshman of the Week Nod

The freshman totaled 8 goals and two assists across two games this past week.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida lacrosse freshman Clark Hamilton earned her second straight Big 12 Freshman of the Week honor, announced Tuesday afternoon.

Hamilton notched eight goals, two assists, three ground balls and one draw control in a 2-0 week over No. 23 Navy and Mercer, including a career high seven points (five goals, two assists) this past Saturday at Mercer. She now has three games this season with five goals.

The Powder Springs, Ga. native leads the team in goals with 26, featured by a team high six hat-tricks on the year. Hamilton has recorded five straight hat-tricks, good for a UF freshman hat-trick streak record.

Along with her 26 goals, Hamilton has four assists, nine ground balls and two draw controls on .591 percent shooting across eight games. It is her third freshman of the week honor.

The No. 8 Florida lacrosse team will be in action on Thursday at 12 p.m. at No. 15 Clemson on ACC Network Extra.
