GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida lacrosse program has hired Lindsay Epstein as an assistant coach, as announced by Head Coach Amanda O’Leary on Friday Morning.
“We are thrilled to welcome Lindsay Epstein to the Gators lacrosse family,” O’Leary said. “Lindsay brings a tremendous energy, a competitive spirit and a deep knowledge of the game. Her experience as both a standout player and coach will make an immediate impact on our program. We’re excited for what she will bring to our team, both on and off the field.”
Epstein arrives at Florida following three highly-successful years as an assistant coach at Fairfield University in Connecticut. Claiming the MAAC Championship two times in her three seasons on staff (2023, 2025), Epstein helped the Stags to a dominant 41-16 record – good for a .719 winning percentage. Fairfield also made history in the 2024 campaign, becoming the first-ever MAAC team to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
“I am incredibly honored to join the University of Florida and be part of a program with such a proud tradition of excellence,” Epstein said. “It is a dream to be part of a team that is committed to developing student-athletes at the highest level on and off the field. I can’t wait to get to work with Coach O’Leary, Haley, and Jared as we continue to build a national powerhouse.”

She also racked up 79 ground balls, 72 draw controls and 46 caused turnovers en route to Second Team All-Big Ten honors in 2021 and 2022.
In her final collegiate campaign in 2022, Epstein was an Honorable Mention All-American per Lacrosse Magazine and IL Woman. Epstein collected her second IWLCA Academic Honor Roll mention and Big Ten Distinguished Scholar selection that same year, capping off an impressive academic career that saw her earn Academic All-Big Ten status in every season.
Epstein earned her bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in business from Ohio State in the summer of 2020. She later obtained a master’s in sport management in the spring of 2022.
As a native of Marietta, Ga., Epstein was an accomplished three-sport athlete at Walton High School. Lettering in lacrosse, basketball and golf, she started all four years on the Walton lacrosse team and earned three all-county selections, two all-state nods and was a 2017 All-American.
