Emily Heller and Emma LoPinto tabbed to AAC Honor Roll
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After a 2-0 week against Furman and Arizona State, the Gators picked up two American Athletic Conference awards, as the league announced Monday.
Emily Heller and Emma LoPinto were each tabbed to the AAC Honor Roll for their performances over the last week.
This is the third weekly honor this season for LoPinto, while Heller earned her first AAC accolade during the 2023 campaign.
Heller – a senior midfielder – recorded five goals over the week to go along with four groundballs and four draw controls.
In Tuesday’s matchup, Heller went 2-fo-3 shooting and paired that performance with two caused turnovers, one draw control and one groundball.
Against the Sun Devils, she tallied her first hat trick of the year, finishing the game with three goals. She also registered three groundballs and three draw controls in the win.
LoPinto totaled eight points over the course of the two games, coming from six goals and two assists.
Against Furman, the sophomore recorded her fourth hat trick of the season, scoring four goals on four shots. She also dished out two assists in the 20-9 victory.
The Manhasset, N.Y. native posted a two-goal, one caused turnover performance against Arizona State on Sunday.
The Gators are back in action on Saturday for a Top-10 matchup against No. 7 Loyola. Opening draw is set for 12 p.m. at Donald R. Dizney Stadium.
