GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida lacrosse redshirt freshman Frannie Hahn was named Big 12 Freshman of the Week, announced Tuesday afternoon.
Hahn totaled four goals, eight assists, six ground balls and one caused turnover, leading to a 2-0 week for Florida. The attacker totaled two goals, six assists, three ground balls and a caused turnover in an overtime victory over No. 15 Penn and compiled two goals, two assists and three ground balls against UC Davis.
The Catonsville, Md. product leads the Gators with 53 points, on 20 goals and 33 assists, where her 3.00 assists per game ranks 10th in the country. Hahn has recorded two or more points in every game this season and has totaled eight or more points in three games. The attacker has also recorded 12 ground balls, four caused turnovers and one draw control across 11 games and six starts.
This is Hahn’s first Big 12 Award, as the redshirt freshman was named to the Tewaaraton Watch List and an Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-American Honorable Mention selection last week.
The No. 7 Gators will be back in action at home on Saturday at 10 a.m. against San Diego State.
