Theresa Bragg, Kaitlyn Davies, Frannie Hahn and Gianna Monaco earned All-South Region First Team and Ashley Dyer captured second team honors.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida lacrosse team had five players earn IWLCA All-South Region honors, announced Friday morning.
Theresa Bragg, Kaitlyn Davies, Frannie Hahn and Gianna were named South Region First Team and Ashley Dyer earned South Region Second Team.
The IWLCA honored 128 athletes, across four different regions (Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, South and West/Midwest).
Theresa Bragg – Defender – Junior – Severna Park, Md.
Bragg has started all 66 games in her career at Florida, leading the Gators with 29 caused turnovers this season. The captain has also totaled 23 ground balls and five draw controls, helping the Gators have the sixth best scoring defense in the country (8.95 goals/game allowed).
Bragg was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Big 12 Tournament on May 3, while previously earning Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-America Second Team and USA Lacrosse All-American honorable mention. It is her first IWLCA All-Region accolade.
Kaitlyn Davies – Midfielder – Junior – Wayne, N.J.
Davies has started all 22 games this season for Florida, posting 50 goals, eight assists, 29 ground balls, 20 caused turnovers, and 46 draw controls. She is the first Gators midfielder to total 50 or more goals in a season since Shannon Kavanaugh did it in 2021.
The captain has nine hat-tricks this season, earning Big 12 Midfielder of the Year, USA Lacrosse All-American Second Team and Inside Lacrosse Midseason Second Team All-America honors. It is her second IWLCA All-Region accolade.
Ashley Dyer – Defender – Sophomore – Elkridge, Md.
Dyer has started all 45 games for the Gators in her Florida career, leading the team with 39 ground balls this season, helping UF own the sixth best scoring defense in the country. The sophomore has caused 22 caused turnovers, currently on a six-game ground ball streak and three-game caused turnover streak.
The defender was named to the All-Big 12 Team, All-Big 12 Tournament Team and earned Big 12 Defender of the Week once this season.
Frannie Hahn – Attacker – Redshirt Freshman – Catonsville, Md.
Hahn has totaled 91 points on 32 goals and 59 assists this season, breaking the all-time single season assists record at UF. She has recorded an assist in every game this season, taking home Big 12 Freshman of the Year.
The attacker was named to the USA Lacrosse All-American Third Team and earned Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-American honorable mention. It is her first career IWLCA All-Region Honor.
Gianna Monaco – Attacker – Junior – Mount Laurel, N.J.
Monaco leads the Gators in goals (73) and points (93) on the season, as she became just the seventh player in program history to record 70 or more goals in a season. The attacker recorded seven goals and eight points in the NCAA First Round against Mercer, tying a program NCAA Tournament game record.
Monaco was named to the All-Big 12 Team, All-Big 12 Tournament Team and earned Big 12 Attacker of the Week once this season. It is her first IWLCA All-Region honor.
