Jordan Basso joins Florida as a graduate transfer from Gettysburg and Cali Bishop comes over from Louisville with two years of eligibility remaining.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida lacrosse team is bringing in transfers Jordan Basso (Attacker) and Cali Bishop (Midfielder/Draw Control Specialist) for the 2025 season.
Basso will come to Gainesville as a fifth-year senior, following four seasons at Gettysburg College, a Division lll powerhouse. The native of Rye, N.Y., is coming off a senior season where she totaled 68 goals (.571 shooting percentage), 43 assists, 37 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers, earning her third consecutive Centennial Conference Attacker of the Year award. The attacker has compiled 100 or more points in each of the last three seasons, including a career best 80 goals in 2023. Basso has put up 360 points, 228 goals and 132 assists in 74 career games, garnering three IWLCA First Team All-American accolades. She has one year of eligibility remaining.
Bishop will join the Gators after spending two seasons in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) as a member of the Louisville Cardinals. The Weare, N.H. native appeared in 14 games this season, totaling 19 draw controls. The midfielder/draw control specialist tallied at least one draw control in nine games, including registering a career best four draw controls twice. The rising junior has gathered 24 draw controls, two ground balls and one caused turnovers across 24 career games. Bishop has two years of eligibility remaining.
