BIRMINGHAM – The first American Athletic Conference women’s soccer match kicks off Thursday for UAB when they travel to Charlotte. Match time is 7 p.m. (ET) 6 p.m. (CT).
UAB LATELY South Alabama scored in the 33rd minute and added insurance goals in the 60th and 83rd minutes in its 3-0 victory over UAB on Sept. 10 ending its unbeaten streak at five matches.
CHARLOTTE LATELY
Julia Patrum scored in the 83rd minute to lead Charlotte to a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Richmond on Sept. 10.
THE SERIES VS. CHARLOTTE
Charlotte leads the all-time series 9-3-1. The teams began the rivalry in the first season of women’s soccer in Conference USA, 1996. The 49ers are 6-2-1 in matches played in Charlotte.
LAST TIME AGAINST CHARLOTTE
UAB extended its unbeaten streak to nine matches and remained undefeated in Conference USA play after its 2-0 victory against Charlotte at PNC Field on Oct 13, 2022.
COMMON OPPONENTS
UAB and Charlotte have six common opponents: East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Memphis, Temple, Tulsa and USF.
