AUBURN, Ala. – Lizzie Hill’s first career goal tied the contest in the 46th minute, but No. 11 Auburn would find the back of the net three times in the 2nd half in its 4-1 victory over UAB on Thursday night.
The Tigers (4-0-0) scored in the 40th minute and took a 1-0 lead into halftime. Hill made the contest level 45 seconds into the 2nd half, but Auburn regained the lead 16 seconds later and added insurance goals in the 57th and 69th minutes.
Lexxe Lipsey tied the match-high with three shots, Hill added two shots, both on target.
Up next for the Blazers is Mercer on Sunday afternoon. Kickoff is at 2:30 pm. This match is sandwiched between a pair of men’s matches in the Soccer for the Cure event.
